Crisis Intervention Team Training for Law Enforcement Officers
This free 40 hour training is the recognized Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), nationally known as the Memphis Model, a best practice model that provides law enforcement based crisis intervention training for safe intervention with persons experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This training for law enforcement officers will cover key topic areas including foundations of mental illness and substance disorders, understanding persons with developmental disabilities, psychotropic medications, community resources and practicums. Specialists in the behavioral health concerns will present to the officers.
