Boat Tours - Bayou Lafourche
Days: Every week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Dates: October 03, 2018 to May 17, 2019 Time: 10:00 AM Duration: 2 hours; Tickets are $10.00 (cash or check only; no credit cards). Cruise into the past and join National Park Service rangers for a special voyage on Bayou Lafourche, the waterway nicknamed "the longest street in the world." Weather permitting, tours cast off from the dock behind the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center at 314 St. Mary Street in Thibodaux and travel to the E.D. White Historic Site, birthplace of U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Edward Douglas White. Tickets cost $10 (cash or check only). Tours leave the center at 10:00 a.m. and return at noon. Reservations are required; call 985-448-1375 or follow the reservation link to email the park. Tours are limited to 20 people (minimum of six). The tour boat is partially handicapped accessible but is not accessible to wheelchairs; call the center for more information. Tour participants should dress for a day in the sun and arrive by 9:30 a.m. Group boat tours are available by reservation; call the center for more information. No tours on federal holidays when Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center is closed.
